Job Description  – Sales position required to proactively solicit new residential mortgage business and sell mortgage products. MLOs are required to meet loan production and loan quality goals established by the company. MLOs must identify, develop and maintain a network of business relationships in order to establish referral sources for new mortgage lending opportunities. The network may consist of real estate professionals, home builders, professional and personal contacts, as well as other valuable referral sources. MLOs should consider regular participation in business related development opportunities, community efforts to promote homeownership and professional organizations. The MLO must respond to customer inquiries and referrals that are generated from both their own contacts and from other sources. The MLO is required to conducts interviews with prospective borrowers in order to analyze financial and credit data, determine customer financing objectives, advise customers of product/pricing policies and guidelines, and gather any additional required information. The MLO must ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics and complying with all federal and state compliance policies. The MLO will monitor the loan process from origination to close and provide communication to customers and business partners.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Mortgage Loan Originator position
  • 4 year college degree preferred

Required Skills:

  • Time management and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend financial data and provide financial alternatives.
  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills
